Hate Groups To Pray Against Gay Marriage Outside Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals

Oral arguments before the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit take place tomorrow.  In addition to pro-gay demonstrators, the hearing is bring out a who's who of some of the foulest anti-gay hate groups in the nation.  At the center of it all is The Family Foundation, a virulently anti-gay organization that has the establishment of a theocracy as its ultimate goal, and it's evil queen, Victoria Cobb (pictured above), who could give Maleficent lessons in evil..  The Family Foundation was the main architect of Virginia's anti-gay laws and the toxic Marshall-Newman Amendment.  More recently, The Family Foundation was a strident supporter of failed gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli's effort to restore Virginia's unconstitutional sodomy statute.  On it website The Family Foundation describes the spittle flecked haters who will descend on Richmond tomorrow.  Here's a partial run down of the hate merchants expected to speak at the gathering of haters:

Confirmed Speakers Include:
Dean Nelson – Frederick Douglass Foundation
Brian S. Brown – National Organization for Marriage
Josh Duggar – FRC Action
Eric Teetsel – The Manhattan Declaration
Jeff Caruso – Virginia Catholic Conference
Victoria Cobb – The Family Foundation

Bob Felton at Civil Commotion sums up what the hysteria on the part of the Christofascists - including claims of persecution - is really all about:
Persecution of Christians? Who? When? The allusion is, undoubtedly, to the dwindling ability of Christians to make everybody else live as they require. But, they never had that right; they merely got away with it.  Loss of the ability to exclude gays from society is not persecution in any case.
