Click image to enlarge.The chart above from The Economist summarizes the current legal recognition - or lack thereof - of same sex couples in the United States. It's ironic that of the states with full gay marriage, the majority have fewer gays per thousand residents than New York City which will only recognize your marriage if you get married in another state that allows gay marriage.
